Olympic Torch Arrives In Hamilton
On December 19th, the eyes of the world turned to our city as the Olympic Flame arrived in Hamilton as part of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Torch Relay, presented by Coca-Cola and RBC and supported by the Government of Canada. A kick-off celebration began at Dundurn Castle on Saturday and continued Sunday as the city witnessed a new torchbearer carrying the flame every 300 metres through the community. The 45,000-kilometre-long journey across Canada is the longest domestic torch relay in Olympic history.
