Ancaster Food Drive

Hundreds of volunteers gathered at Parish Hall in Ancaster to lend a hand on Saturday February 21st to collect, accept and package up non-perishable food donated from Ancaster homes during the 17th annual Ancaster Food Drive. All donations were then delivered to Hamilton’s major food agencies, including Neighbour to Neighbour, The Salvation Army, Greater Hamilton Food Share, St. Matthew’s House, Mission Services of Hamilton, Wesley Urban Ministries, Good Shepherd Centre and Ancaster Community Services. The generosity and support this year from the local community, including elementary and secondary schools, resulted in a new food drive record with a total of $5000 in cash and 79,000 pounds of food raised.
